Terms and Conditions for Svene Gjestegård Hotel

1Hotel Reservations General Terms
In addition to the other terms and conditions specified on this Site regarding Svene Gjestegård Hotel, the following general terms and conditions apply to reservations booked on this Site: Cancellation policies and other information about specific room reservations and properties may vary by room-type and by the type of reservation.

Rates confirmed in EURO or USD may be converted to local currency (Norwegian Krones - NOK) by the Svene Gjestegård Hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel’s control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card.

While the hotel will strive to honor your requests for specific features such as bedding type or pet accommodations, Svene Gjestegård Hotel does not guarantee that your request will be honored.

2Hotel Reservations
For reservations guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until hotel check-out time the day following arrival.

For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until set cancellation time per the rules of the reservation.

3Additional Charges
In addition to your room charges, we will charge you for your usage of various services such as Telephone calls, extra towel or bed linen.

4Personal Information, Credit Card Information
You agree that Svene Gjestegård are not responsible or liable in any way for injury, loss or damage to your computer, or interception or use of credit card information or other personally identifiable information, related to or resulting from use of this Site. Svene Gjestegård does not store any of your credit card information. We use PayPal to do our transactions. With PayPal, you'll check out easily without sharing your financial info with us.

5Mis-Communications / Lost Transactions
Svene Gjestegård are not responsible for communication malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or lost, stolen, or misdirected, transmissions, messages or entries, or the security of any such communications. Further, Svene Gjestegård are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by User(s) or by any of the equipment or programming associated with the Site, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of any information related to the our website. Svene Gjestegård may cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a User has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.

You agree that Svene Gjestegård are not responsible for any damages that may arise as a result of any travel or hotel arrangements or other orders you request or make on this Site which are not processed or accepted for any reason.

6Internet
Svene Gjestegård is able to offer you wireless Internet access in our hotel. Guests with laptop or palmtop with support for wireless network will find that there is a Wi-Fi network in our hotel named “SveneG Guest” when they try to access the Internet.

Security

The wireless network doesn’t have protection (firewall or VPN) against the Internet and there’s no filter to block dangerous files. The Wi-Fi net is separated from Svene Gjestegård internal network and Svene Gjestegård IT services are not responsible for antivirus or other protection against security threats that may occur with communication over the Internet. Those who use the Wi-Fi net (SveneG Guest account), do so at own risk.

You are fully responsible for the content of your Internet traffic. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from our internet access:

• any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or other material or content that would violate rights of publicity and/or privacy or that would violate any law
• any material or content that infringes, misappropriates or violates any copyright, trademark, patent right or other proprietary right of any third party You shall be solely liable for any damages resulting from any violation of the foregoing restrictions, or any other harm resulting from your posting of content to Internet.

Network coverage

Network coverage Service is available in the hotel lobby area, on the terrace, in our restaurant, on the second floor and in every room. You can also use public surf station located in the Fireplace lobby.

6Force Majeure
If as a consequence of Force Majeure, Svene Gjestegård is obliged to curtail, alter or cancel a booking and/or any services agreed, the partner and/or client/customer shall not be entitled to claim compensation for any loss arising as a consequence of the said curtailment, alteration or cancellation. The term “Force Majeure” includes but is not limited to acts of God, natural disaster, fire and any other destruction of any accommodation booked, riots, acts of civil or international war, natural disasters, fires, power loss, exercise of municipal, legislative, military or other authority, strikes, industrial action, or any other reason beyond the control of Svene Gjestegård.

8Modification
Svene Gjestegård may at any time modify these Terms and Conditions, and your continued use of this site will be conditioned upon the terms and conditions in force at the time of your use. Accordingly, you agree to review these Terms and Conditions periodically, and your continued access, use and/or posting on this Site shall be deemed your acceptance of the changed Terms.

9Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between us relating to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes any prior understandings or agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the subject matter, and may not be amended or modified except in writing or by making such amendments or modifications available on this Site.
